Top 5 Tagine Pots

Not everyone appreciates the art of cooking. And not everyone knows about tagine pots; believe me, once upon a time, I didn’t know about them too. It wasn’t until a friend of mine introduced Moroccan cuisine to me which she had learnt during her short trip in Morocco. But you don’t have to go all the way to Morocco to buy a Morrocan tagine, you can buy these online, get it delivered and start cooking in your tangine pot in a few days (once you’ve downloaded a few recipes that is!).

Now back to the story about how I stumbled upon tagine cooking. When I visited my friends house, I was welcomed by the aroma coming from her kitchen. It was a cold evening, thus I hurried to her kitchen and felt the warmth of it, both in smell and in climate. As I gazed around the kitchen, a tagine cooker with a conical lid caught my attention. Anyway, to cut the story short, my friend was able to convince me to give clay pot cooking a try. Ever since then, I am addicted!

Who wouldn’t want a cooker that allows them to leave a dish to cook for hours without worrying about the food drying out?

What about the taste of yummy food cooked in the targine, one of the most extremely pleasing foodd to taste.

What I love the most? You can sit right next to it, it feels natural and you get to indulge in the natural warmth that the tagine generates while waiting for the food to be cooked. Moreover, tajines can be used on coals, halogen hob, gas flame and even in an oven, depending on the type of the tagine you are interested in – I’ll give you more details as to which are suitable for what as you read on. Here are some tagines to look out for:
